Job Overview

Come join the Small Business Self Employed Group Sales and Mid Market team at Intuit and help us solve our biggest customer and business challenges as the next Sales Staff Business Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Director, Sales Strategy and Programs, you will be a key thought partner and accountable leader who accelerates Small Business ecosystem growth at scale by identifying strategic opportunities, establishing and tracking key success metrics, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively. By leveraging proven strategic frameworks and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, you will advance and measure key initiatives that drive high growth and sustainable change across Sales channels and programs. 

A relentless curiosity, proven record in driving organizational impact, and a level of ease in interacting with senior management on a regular basis will drive success in this role. You will bring a startup mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities while dealing effectively with ambiguity and change. You must be a team player and passionate about making a difference.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in corporate or sales strategy, business operations, or go-to-market operations roles delivering significant organizational impact, preferably in a SAAS-based technology company. MBA, Finance, or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Operational Expertise: A breadth of experience interacting across sales, marketing, finance, business analytics, technology teams and operations. Track record of identifying new growth vectors and improving end to end processes. Ability to drive regular operating mechanisms to provide progress updates on key initiatives. Knowledge of sales tools, techniques, and methodologies is a plus.
  • Data-based Decision Making: Ability to interpret key performance metrics, market dynamics, and current operations to generate innovative insights and opportunities that help advance the business. Understanding of how to quantify the impact of these opportunities in order to advocate and prioritize efforts and needed investment with senior stakeholders.
  • Consensus-Builder: Practiced in earning trust and collaborating with sponsors and key stakeholders at all levels to establish a shared vision, common goal framework and prioritization principles where no formal authority exists. Relationship-minded approach that balances empathy and directness while pushing beyond comfort zones. Can deliver tough messages with professionalism and grace. 
  • World-class Communicator: Clear and compelling storytelling abilities that distill complex information and concepts simply and concisely for a variety of audiences. Superior written and verbal communications skills with experience preparing strategy memos, white papers and presentations for an executive audience.
  • Pace-setter. Catalyst for Change: Experienced problem-solver who can accelerate outcomes through clear goals and accountability. Change agent who can reinforce our desired culture through modeling Intuit values and encouraging behaviors that result in transformation at scale.
  • Ability to travel based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Business Recommendations: Create data-driven white papers that frame strategic questions, synthesize insights, and conceptualize a varied set of outcomes. Support speed to action by ensuring prioritization of and focus on what matters most in order to help our teams reach higher revenue, productivity, and margin performance.
  • Operating System: Shape and manage organizational operating frameworks that drive clarity, accountability, and a motivation to move work forward via well-defined roadmaps and success measures. Collaborate on opportunities to share best practices and improve operations across multiple organizations.
  • Operational Planning: Participate in and/or drive necessary organizational inputs into company-wide or business-unit level strategic and “run the business” operational planning mechanisms, including 3/1 year planning, quarterly KPI reviews, headcount and budget management, and operational reporting.
  • Ownership & Influence: Exhibit extreme ownership for a portfolio of high-visibility, high-impact efforts. Leverage network to understand interdependencies and risks for the work, engaging partners to execute plans and resolve roadblocks. Communicate a clear point of view and influence others to focus attention and/or take action on most critical areas with compelling, thoughtful arguments tailored to the audience.
  • Content Development: Shape clear and compelling visual and written narratives that distill complex information and concepts simply and concisely, while ensuring alignment with core principles and business strategies. Prepare communications and presentations for a variety of audiences.
  • Special Projects:Address specific business challenges by designing and delivering high-impact cross-organizational projects, and transition them to organizational owners in a way that impact can be sustained upon project completion.
  • Change Leadership:Act as a catalyst to accelerate outcomes by developing strategic narratives to galvanize the organization around a shared vision. Create an environment of trust within and beyond a working team by role-modeling Intuit culture and values.  

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $172,955 - $233,998, Colorado $147,025 - $198,916, Bay Area California $172,955 - 233,998, Southern California $158,645 - 214,637, Washington $154,376 - $208,862. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
