Job Overview
Come join Intuit’s International Accounting & Compliance organization as a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst. Intuit’s Finance team is composed of accounting, tax, FP&A, corporate strategy & development that support and enhance Intuit’s operating efficiencies.
You will advise the Intuit group on global indirect tax matters (excluding US). This role is a mixture of compliance obligations, advisory and project work.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of international indirect tax experience, preferably some of which has been with digital services and within a multinational company
- Knowledge of global VAT/GST rules relating to electronically supplied services and digital services taxes
- Understanding the typical VAT return process from source to report and how to prepare a balance sheet reconciliation
- Comfortable handling large data sets and performing analysis using Excel/Gsheets
- Understand the indirect tax elements of a billing system and AP systems such as Aravo, Coupa and Oracle
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple jurisdictions and deliver successfully and on time
- Excellent written, presentation and influencing skills across levels
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of certain indirect tax filings for jurisdictions outside the US
- Responsible for the review of indirect tax filings prepared by the Shared Services Centre
- Managing co-sourcing arrangements used to prepare indirect tax filings
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for all indirect tax accounts every month
- Monthly assessment of global indirect tax registration obligations from the sale of digital services and managing the associated reserves/accruals
- Ensure new indirect tax registrations are set up to report for day 1 in compliance with local rules
- Monitors tax legislation updates globally and assesses the impact on the business
- Provides periodic training and materials to AP/AR teams and helps other business units stay informed about the tax implications of their operations
- Documenting, reviewing and monitoring all indirect tax processes and controls, updating when required and improving wherever possible
- Managing technical indirect tax queries from the business regarding billing, procurement and new product lines
- Develop positive and collaborative working relationships with key business partners e.g. FP&A/corporate tax and provide timely updates that impact their business areas
